Article that provides instructions for filling out an IT Software Request Form.
Issue
You want software installed on your PC, your department's PCs, or on a lab of computers. Or, even if you want it for your your laptop.
Instructions
Go to this form: https://sunywcc.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/277/Portal/Requests/ServiceDet?ID=10676
Click 'Submit a Request'
Fill in the from to the best of your knowledge.
The approval request will be sent via email to the person you selected as an approver (you can pick yourself if available). The approver will receive the initial email, then another one every two days until 4 total emails have been sent.
It will then follow this basic workflow:
Approval > IT Evaluation > Procurement (if necessary) > Installation
You can access the ticket status from the Service Desk Portal by clicking on 'Services' then 'Ticket Requests' Direct Link: Ticket Requests
You can see your pending approvals (if you are the approver) by going to the Service Desk Portal, clicking on 'Services' then 'My Approvals' Direct Link: My Approvals

Click on the Item (1) to see the request details.

Click on Step (2) to access the approval.

You can see the workflow stages from the ticket details page:

A check means that stage has been completed.
A square means that is the current stage.
A dash means that stage is yet to be completed
If your request is rejected at any point, you will receive an email like this, which will include any comments from the person that rejected it:
